Fishing

Set across 25 peaceful acres, Boyd Valley Lake offers day and night fishing on three well-stocked lakes: Boyd Lake (1.5 acres), Upper Lake (0.5 acres), and Middle Lake (1.25 acres, our dedicated match lake). Species across the waters include carp, barbel, bream, chub, perch, roach — with tench and crucians also recently added to Upper Lake. Free on-site parking and toilet facilities are available for all anglers.

Boyd Lake

Boyd Lake is our main water, spanning 1.5 acres and clay-lined, built in 1999. Well-established and mature, it offers consistent fishing throughout the year with a healthy stock of carp up to 22lb, along with barbel, bream, chub, perch, and roach. Ideal for both day sessions and night anglers, Boyd Lake remains a favourite for those seeking quality fish in a peaceful setting.

Upper Lake

Upper Lake is our smallest and most secluded water, at 0.5 acres, also clay-lined and built in 2017. It's perfect for junior anglers, beginners, or those seeking a quieter session. Stocked with a variety of species including carp, barbel, bream, chub, perch, and roach, it also features recently added tench and crucian carp — offering plenty of variety in a sheltered part of the site.

Middle Lake

Middle Lake is our dedicated match water, set in a quiet corner of the site, spanning 1.25 acres. Clay-lined and completed in June 2025, it’s our newest lake, designed for reliable, consistent fishing. To be stocked with a balanced mix of carp, barbel, bream, chub, perch, and roach, it’s designed to be ideal for pleasure sessions and small club matches, offering great sport in a fresh, well-managed environment.

Booking

Day Fishing

There is no booking system for Day Fishing, please park in the Car Park and get fishing, a Bailiff will be around to collect cash on the bank. Arrivals are from 7am (Summer Time) or 8am (Winter Time) till dark.

Night Fishing

As we control numbers overnight our 24hour ticket must be booked in advance. This can be done contacting us via email or phone (there is no direct booking platform currently). Once confirmed you have 24 hours of fishing from arrival, latest arrival time for this is 9pm (Summer Time) or 8pm (Winter Time).

Match Bookings

With the recent completion of our new Match Lake (Middle) we are now able to offer match bookings, we do not have an online system for this so please contact us via phone or email for availability.
